In partnership with Ameritas, Liferaft offers two different Vision Plans which are PrimeStar EyeMed Select Vision and PrimeStar VSP Choice Vision. Both plans are available nationwide, offer next-day coverage, and have no waiting periods. 

PrimeStar Select and PrimeStar Choice are guaranteed issue, offer an annual allowance, and have out-of-network coverage as well. Clients must be 18 years or older to purchase these plans and spouses, domestic partners, and children (up to the age of 26) may be covered as allowed dependents.

PrimeStar Select provides Vision benefits for exams and materials such as eyeglasses and contacts. This plan is the best fit for clients who don’t need to seek eye care on a yearly basis.

This plan is available in 44 states and DC, offers in and out-of-network coverage, and has an annual allowance of $130. The chart above shows the benefit types offered through PrimeStar Select, and it covers the annual frequencies and deductibles.

PrimeStar Choice provides Vision benefits for exams and materials such as eyeglasses and contact lenses. This plan is best fit for clients who need to seek eye care on a yearly basis, and don’t mind a higher monthly premium which results in lower deductibles for them. 

This plan is available in 45 states including DC, has an annual allowance of $150, and offers in and out-of-network benefits. The chart above shows the yearly frequencies and deductibles for each of the benefit types offered through PrimeStar Choice.

This video reviews how to place business and navigate the Liferaft platform when selling Dental and Vision products. Please note, that all Liferaft agents must ensure that they have completed the necessary paperwork to become appointed to sell Dental and Vision products.

Check your email for a link to the Ameritas appointment form. You must complete this form in order to sell Dental policies—even if you are already appointed to sell other Liferaft products. For agents that sell a dental policy without prior completion of appointment paperwork, Liferaft will not pay any commissions for those policy sales.

How old does my client have to be to purchase one of the Vision Insurance plans?

If your client is interested in purchasing the PrimeStar Select or PrimeStar Choice plan they must be 18 years of age or older.

Is there a termination age for either of these plans?

Both PrimeStar Select and PrimeStar Choice have no termination age. As long as you are over the age of 18 your clients may purchase and keep these plans for as long as they would like.

What is the waiting period for these plans?

There is no waiting periods! Through either of these plans, clients and their families have next day coverage.

Is pricing the same for every state that is available?

Pricing varies on a zip code basis. In most states plans will start at $10.67 a month. If your client is interested in learning more about what their price will be you can quote them through the Liferaft application.
