Bringing on additional agents to your downline will provide additional income with much less work than if you sold the same policies on your own. If you are a successful agent and think you can help others learn your process, then recruiting agents to your downline is a smart way to grow your business.
Many insurance agents will find young professionals who are hoping to grow in their careers and offer them a compelling reason to work with them. Insurance agents can offer leads, bonuses, office space, training, and mentorship, or access to helpful technologies and quoting tools.
If you have agents you know that might not wish to be your downline but would like to sell Liferaft products, you can send them this referral form. Once your referral is appointed, you will receive a referral bonus in your next commission statement!
Liferaft allows appointed agents and agencies to bring on downline agents with valid health insurance licenses in their state of residence. With Liferaft’s leveled commission structure, agents with downlines will receive an override on every policy their downline agent sells.
This is a tiered system, for example, John has a downline agent Sally and Sally would like to have Tim join Liferaft as her downline agent. John will receive an override on Sally and Tim’s sold policies.
Liferaft currently offers two different ways for downline agents to receive commissions.
Option one is similar to the example above. If you are an agent or agency who would like to bring on downline agents, you can choose one of Liferaft’s commission levels and then receive an override on the policies your downline agents sell.
Option two is if you are an agent or agency you can collect all commissions from policies your downline agents sold and pay them directly to how you see fit.

On your Broker Dashboard, navigate to the Downline Agents table. You can find this next to the In Progress table. From there, you will click “Add a Downline.”
After clicking the Add a Downline button, complete the Downline Agent form. All fields are required to fill out. You’ll need to have your downline agent’s NPN, Resident License Number, and Confirmation of E&O Insurance. You will also have to select a “Downline Agent Level,” either One Level or Two Level. If you have questions about which level you would like to make your downline agent, please contact the Liferaft team.
Once your downline agents are appointed with Liferaft, you’ll be able to view their policy sales and quotes on the Broker Dashboard.
Once your downline agents have sold a Liferaft policy, you will see their name, the number of policies they have sold, and the date of their last sale in the Downline Agents table. If one of your appointed downline agents has not yet sold a policy, they will not appear in this table.
You can also see in-progress applications started by your downline agents in the “In Progress” table.
To decipher which application is yours versus your downline’s, click on “view details” to the right of the application, and under “source” you will see who started the application.
No, there is not a maximum amount. You can bring on as many agents as you would like.
Only agents that have sold at least one policy will show up on this table. This table will show the number of completed policies sold by your downline as well as their last policy sale.
Unfortunately, that agent will not be able to appoint with Liferaft. All agents who are interested in appointing with Liferaft must have an active health insurance license.
